Why Community Partnerships Matter at Cephable

At Cephable, we’re dedicated to shifting the accessibility paradigm. Our mission is twofold: to simplify personal accessibility for individuals and to transform businesses & enterprises through making digital products and workplaces more inclusive for everyone. By offering free personal Cephable licenses to individuals, we want to be part of removing the “disability tax” and empowering personal independence. But we also recognize the transformative power of business, which is why we license Cephable to enterprises so our software can be used as employee accommodations and/or to elevate their digital products by integrating our alternative digital inputs.

We believe that technology should be as diverse and dynamic as the people who use it. Our software allows individuals to interact with technology in ways that are unique to their capabilities—whether through head motion, adaptive voice controls, dictation, facial expressions, or virtual buttons. And we’re not just about cutting-edge tech—we’re about building a movement. That’s where our community partnerships come in.

Community Partnerships vs. Business Relationships

Our community partnerships focus on organizations that support individuals with disabilities, such as non-profits and disability-specific groups. These collaborations are often formed where our company missions intersect, such as advancing digital equity, fostering independence, and helping individuals navigate systems that aren’t designed with disability in mind.

In contrast, our business relationships center on integrating Cephable’s accessibility technology into business environments and workplaces. By providing innovative accommodations, we promote the creation of accessible work environments. Additionally, we work closely with our business customers to ensure our alternative digital inputs seamlessly integrate into their existing digital products, improving user experience and efficiency. Through these efforts, we aim to build a world where everyone can engage and work with technology in ways that best suit their needs.

Community Partner Q&A: What You Need to Know

What do Cephable community partnerships typically involve?

Our partnerships are non-revenue-based and focused on mutual growth. We provide free access to our software, support materials, co-marketing opportunities, and exclusive access to internal programs like our user advisory board, The Consortium. In return, our partners help us spread the word, offer feedback, and collaborate on initiatives that advance our shared goals.

What types of events have you collaborated on in the past?

We’ve partnered with organizations like The AbleGamers Charity to host virtual accessible gaming webinars. We’ve also worked with multiple state level Assistive Technology programs like North Carolina’s Assistive Technology Program and Alabama’s AT ACT program to host events ranging from virtual webinars to in-person expos. These events focus on everything from demonstrating adaptive technology to discussing the future of digital accessibility.

Why should I partner with Cephable?

Partnering with Cephable is more than just gaining access to innovative software (though that’s a big part of it!). It’s about joining a movement that puts accessibility and independence at the heart of everything we do. As a partner, you’re part of driving meaningful change in the digital landscape.

Can you explain the different community partner categories on your website?

We know that every community organization is unique, which is why we offer a variety of ways to collaborate. Here’s a quick summary of our partner categories:

  • Educational: Collaborate on webinars, workshops, and training sessions to spread the word about accessible technology.
  • Event Collaboration: Co-host live and virtual events that highlight the power of inclusive tech.
  • Technology Demonstration: Showcase Cephable in your facilities, such as demo labs and innovation centers.
  • Advocacy and Outreach: Help us raise awareness about digital accessibility through advocacy efforts and user recruitment.
  • Content and Resource Directory: Co-create valuable content like blog posts, guides, and add Cephable to online directories.
  • Strategic Alliance: Engage in long-term initiatives, research projects, and pilot programs that drive innovation.
