What it does
Cephable Automate turns a one-sentence request into a finished, multi-step job on your computer. It can find, read, create, and edit files, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF. It can also research the web, operate apps by clicking and typing, and draft emails. For example: "Research these three vendors, compare them in a Word doc, and email my team a summary."
Yes. Cephable builds documents with real headings, lists, and tables rather than plain formatted text, so every file is easy to navigate for any reader. It can build from your own Word, PowerPoint, or Excel template so the colors and layout stay on brand. It produces text and tables. It doesn't generate images, charts, or video.
Yes. Most Cephable automations run in the background while you keep working in other apps. You can minimize the panel and come back when the task finishes. One automation runs at a time. Voice controls, dictation, and writing tools stay available while it runs.
How it works
Cephable researches with its own built-in browser, separate from your Chrome or Edge. It opens several sources for each question, so it never treats a single page as fact. Then it pulls the content together. You can open that browser at any time to see the tabs it used, and you can sign in to web apps inside it.
Cephable reads each app's structure, meaning its buttons, menus, and text fields, through the operating system's built-in interface layer. In its browser it also reads the page code. It then clicks and types through those controls, and it uses each app's keyboard shortcuts where that's faster. It works from the app's structure, not from screenshots sent to a cloud model.
Staying in control
No. Cephable has built-in rules that users can't override. It won't delete files, send an email, make a purchase, or take any step it can't undo without your approval first. Terminal commands also need your OK. When it edits a file, it usually saves a copy first. You can also limit Cephable to specific folders.
Yes. Cephable's history shows the plan, each step it took, and the sources it used for every task. Cephable doesn't carry memory from one task to the next, so each new task starts fresh. To build on earlier work, reopen that task and continue it. By default Cephable keeps your 200 most recent tasks, and you can export your history as JSONL. History is encrypted and stays on your device.
Yes. With remote automation turned on, you can ask the Cephable mobile app to run a task on your computer and have the results waiting when you get back. The work runs on your computer, and your phone only receives status updates. Your computer needs to be on and signed in to the same account.
